What you'll do
Come discover Ikseondong and experience the past and present of Seoul melting in one place!

Language: English
Time: 2 hours/4 hours
Approximate walking distance: 2 km
4-5 stops

Ikseondong Hanok Alley has been designated as the oldest Hanok village and the last Hanok district in Seoul! It is now transformed into a trendy neighborhood in Seoul located nearby Gyeongbokung and Changdeokung Palaces in the Jongno District which is popular among locals and tourists alike!

The old traditional Hanok houses were transformed into aesthetic cafes, decadent dessert places, trendy restaurants, and boutique shopping, Ikseondong is one of Seoul’s best must-visit “hot places”! The neighborhood is a beautiful fusion of traditional Korean Hanok architecture and modern trends. We'll explore the winding alleyways and stop by some of the best (and picturesque) cafes. Join me and I'll show you around some of the trendiest cafes in Ikseondong.

We'll meet at Jongno3ga station Exit 6 (종로3가역 6번출입구):

Then we'll walk to a beautiful hotel inspired cafe

Afterward, we'll go to a modern cafe where you can try the trending mini souffle pancakes

Lastly, we'll visit a traditional Korean teahouse

There will be free time to explore the neighborhood, do some shopping or try some foods. And! I will provide my personal recommendations! :)
We'll regroup at the end for a fun photoshoot and end the tour! If you are interested in extending the tour we have another experience prepared for you!

Additional Tour Option: Painting Cafe
We will visit a painting cafe where they provide us with all the painting supplies and we can spend time painting in an aesthetic Hanok cafe! We will spend around 2 hours at the painting cafe. So the total duration of the tour would be approx. 4 hours if you select the tour that includes the painting cafe!

If you are interested in adding the painting tour please select the option while booking!

Hiya! My name is Molara and I’m originally from the U.S.A. (DC Area) and have been living in Korea for over a year. I love exploring Seoul and discovering trendy restaurants, Instagrammable cafes, and pretty artistic exhibits. I love traveling around Korea (especially to the beautiful East Coast and sea view) and enjoy going for walks, taking lots of photos, and reading in cozy cafes. Showing people around new places and sharing unique spots is just so fun! Feel free to ask me about Seoul or travel recommendations around Korea :)
